Towns to seek 15th term this fall

As published in the Brooklyn Downtown Star

It looks like this Democrat is staying in town for the long run.

Congressman Edolphus Towns announced his run for re-election to the 10th Congressional District on the steps of Brooklyn Borough Hall on Monday morning. His public announcement attracted a large crowd of supporters, including Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez, Congressman Jerrold Nadler, and East New York community activist and retired Department of Education official Queenie Wooten.

After nearly thirty years of service and fourteen successful elections, Towns has no intentions of stepping – or slowing – down.
